Lab-Scale filter press  for sand washing sludge treatment is designed for solid-liquid separation of various suspensions. Its chamber, formed by aligned filter plates, allows the slurry to be forced in by a feed pump. The process effectively separates solids from liquid through a filter medium, typically a filter cloth.
The plate and frame filter press is a batch-operated industrial equipment for solid-liquid separation. While characterized by intermittent operation, significant infrastructure investment, and relatively low filtration capacity, it remains widely adopted across industries. Its advantages, including a high filtration driving force, dry filter cakes, clear filtrate, high solid recovery, and low chemical consumption, make it invaluable in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mining, and wastewater treatment applications.
