The water vapor content in compressed air depends on the temperature of the compressed air. Under the condition that the pressure of the compressed air is basically the same, reducing the temperature of the compressed air can decrease the water vapor content in the air, and the excess water vapor will condense into liquid. The refrigerated dryer, based on the corresponding relationship between saturated water vapor pressure and temperature, uses a refrigeration device to cool the compressed air to a certain dew point temperature, causing the water to condense. Then, the water is discharged through a steam-water separator and an electric drainage device, thereby achieving the drying of the compressed air.
