A diaphragm filter press is a type of filter press equipped with elastic diaphragms installed between the filter plates and the filter cloths. During operation, once the feeding process is completed, high-pressure fluid or gas can be injected into the diaphragm plates. This causes the entire diaphragm to expand and compress the filter cake, thereby achieving further dewatering—a process commonly referred to as squeeze filtration.
A diaphragm filter press is a solid-liquid separation device that utilizes an elastic diaphragm to perform secondary squeezing of the filter cake, primarily used in industries such as chemical, environmental protection, pharmaceutical, and food processing. By incorporating diaphragm technology into the filter plates, it significantly enhances the solid dryness. Compared to traditional filtration processes, it achieves the lowest residual moisture content in the filter cake, making it one of the most robust and widely applied systems.
