The LW horizontal spiral discharge sedimentation centrifuge is a machine that uses the principle of centrifugal sedimentation to separate solid and liquid phases in the suspension. It achieves solid phase dehydration and liquid phase clarification through the variable-frequency drive of two motors. The machine can operate automatically continuously and for a long time, featuring large single-machine production capacity, compact structure, small floor space, and simple operation.
Working principle
The horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge main unit starts and automatically increases its speed. When it reaches the predetermined indicators and the drum speed reaches the feeding speed, the feed valve opens. The separated suspension liquid enters the material bin of the spiral feeder through the feed pipe and then passes through the initial acceleration stage before entering the drum through the outlet of the material bin. Due to the action of centrifugal force, the suspension liquid in the drum quickly separates into two phases; the heavier solid phase settles on the inner wall of the drum. Due to the differential action of the differential gear, a relative motion is generated between the spiral feeder and the drum, and the solid phase is further dehydrated by the drying zone at the small end of the drum. Then it is discharged through the discharge port. The separated liquid is discharged through the large end overflow or is discharged by a centrifugal pump.
Material Selection
The material of the part of the centrifuge that comes into contact with the liquid can be selected based on the requirements of the user’s operating materials. It can be made of austenitic stainless steel 304, 321, 316L, 904L, duplex steel 2205, Hastelloy alloy, titanium alloy or other corrosion-resistant materials.

Replaceable wear-resistant blades
The wear-resistant blades can be fixed on the spiral blades by countersunk screws, brazing or adhesives, thus greatly simplifying the repair of the spiral blades. Currently, the materials of replaceable wear-resistant blades are mostly tungsten carbide hard alloy or aluminum oxide ceramics. When using wear-resistant blades, a combination of countersunk screws and adhesives is generally used for bonding. For those using the bonding method directly, the bonding surface of the spiral blades needs to be sandblasted in advance, and then the corresponding heating and curing treatment is carried out after bonding to increase the bonding strength of the adhesive.
