Cylindrical CNC camshaft follower grinding machine

This machine tool is a four-axis two-axis coordinated high-precision following-type CNC external cylindrical grinding machine. An advanced and reliable device is selected as the control platform of the machine tool. The human-machine interface is friendly, and it has complete equipment fault alarm and diagnosis functions. The CNC system controls the X-axis (grinding wheel carriage feed), Z-axis (worktable movement), and the C-axis motion for the workpiece’s rotational grinding feed, and can achieve the two-axis linkage of X and C axes. A PMC controller is installed inside, and an LCD display is provided. The operator can set the grinding parameters and edit the grinding process cycle through the display screen in a human-machine communication manner, enabling the machine tool to perform automatic grinding. Automatic entry, periodic feed, and electronic handwheel feed can be achieved through program control. The machine tool is also applicable for standard external cylindrical precision grinding of conventional shaft parts such as camshafts and crankshafts in industries like automobiles and compressors. The machine tool is mainly used for grinding metal materials (such as steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals), but it can also process non-metallic and other materials.
