The horizontal screw decanter centrifuge is a horizontally installed, screw-driven separation device designed for continuous sedimentation operations.

Its working principle is as follows:
Both the drum and the screw rotate at high speed in the same direction while maintaining a specific differential speed. Raw material is continuously fed through the feed pipe into the inner chamber of the screw conveyor, and after being accelerated, it enters the drum. Under the influence of the centrifugal force field, the denser solid phase settles on the drum wall to form a sediment layer. The screw conveyor then continuously pushes the settled solids toward the conical end of the drum, which are subsequently discharged from the machine via the slag outlet. Meanwhile, the less dense liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring, which continuously overflows the drum through the overflow port at the larger end and is expelled from the equipment through the liquid discharge outlet.
This centrifuge enables continuous feeding, separation, washing, and discharge processes while operating at full speed. Key features include a compact structure, continuous operation capability, stable performance, strong adaptability to various materials, high production throughput, and convenient maintenance. It is specifically suitable for separating suspensions with solid particle sizes exceeding 0.005mm and solid concentration ranging from 2% to 40%.
