The structure of the machine tool adopts the structure of a grinding machine with a moving grinding wheel frame. The workpiece only moves in a rotational motion, while the grinding wheel frame carriage (Z-axis) moves longitudinally on the carriage bed.
The grinding wheel frame (X-axis) moves laterally on the carriage, and the operation position is arranged in the structure on the carriage. The MCW1380A series cylindrical grinding machines have a bed structure where the workpiece bed and the carriage bed are cast as one piece. For cylindrical grinding machines with a diameter of 800mm or above, a structure where the workpiece bed and the carriage bed are separated is used.
The longitudinal Z-axis transmission part of the carriage is driven by a servo motor and a gear rack transmission. For numerical control machine tools with a length of 5 meters or less, a servo motor-driven ball screw transmission is used.
The X-axis of the grinding wheel frame is all driven by a servo motor and a ball screw transmission.

The main spindle of the grinding wheel carriage adopts a high-stiffness dynamic and static pressure main spindle, with high rotational accuracy, good rigidity and high grinding quality.
The main spindles of the headstock and tailstock of the top grinding machine are all of rotating live spindle structure. The spindles are supported by ultra-precision rolling bearings and lubricated with strong grease. The positioning accuracy is high and the load-bearing capacity is large.
The rotational accuracy of the top grinding machine is completely guaranteed by the high-precision bearings selected for the headstock and tailstock. Therefore, the grinding quality is high.
The top grinding machine can be equipped with a four-jaw chuck, enabling one clamping and one supporting for grinding.
